Just One Day To Go To The 50th!

So, we’re nearly there.

Setting out takes so much longer than clearing away, as there always seems to be something else for our team of volunteers to do.

The last couple of days have seen extra fencing erected, bins put out for general use, ash bins for the steamers and nearly 100 fire extinguishers and sand buckets, bags of coal laid out… etc, etc.

But tomorrow is the day we start welcoming the majority of our exhibitor friends, many of whom stay on site in the camping area. A few started setting up trade stands on Wednesday, as this is another time-consuming exercise, but this area of the site is now starting to take shape

And another reminder that tickets are available online, with the added bonus of a 20% discount until midnight Friday the 5th.

And something extra special for the under 10’s :- FIND THE GOLD STAR LETTERS!!
We have placed 16 gold stars around the rally field, each carrying a letter.
To enter the competition, collect a form from the envelope tent. It’s in front of the rally office, opposite the fairground.
Look for the Gold Stars all over the field with a letter on them, and when you have all 16, arrange them to make two words.
When it’s done, just go to the rally office, ask for Amanda and claim a prize!!…. Good luck.

One point though… the number of forms is limited each day, so we’re very sorry if there are none left when you arrive.

Finally, the flypast… This is always subject to weather conditions. The owners of these historic aircraft, quite rightly, do not take risks. However, we hope to be having a Yak- 11 (not Yak-3… our mistake) visiting us, but we’re not able to advise if and when until the day.

We will put out the approximate arrival time out over the PA system as soon as we hear.

So, fingers crossed for some nice weather.
