This morning, we received some excellent news from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Because of the tragic loss of a Spitfire and even more tragic, its pilot, Sqn Ldr Mark Long, in May of this year, the BBMF have grounded the remaining five Spitfires. At least that’s what we understand.
However, other planes are still flying, and we are lucky enough to have a flypast on Sunday afternoon, the 8th September.
This is of course subject to aircraft serviceability and weather conditions.
But, fingers crossed, we will have the Lancaster overhead at approximately 15.30 ….
